Calendar of Events

Comiccon is a popular culture event where visitors have the chance to meet artists and see a wide range of products from the world of entertainment: science fiction, horror, anime, video games of all kinds, and, of course, comics and graphic novels. Photo and autograph sessions, as well as panels with dozens of celebrity guests, are also on the program.

In addition, during the three days of the event, visitors are invited to over 100 panel discussions and workshops promoting comic books, costumes, video games, and popular culture in general. A gaming area is set up for those who would like to discover new games or simply enjoy a free gaming session.

SAGGEEK is the convention celebrating geek culture in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region. This event aims to bring together enthusiasts and inform the public about comic books, video games, board games, role-playing games, foreign cultures, cosplay, and much more!

Le Comiccon de Québec est un événement destiné aux amateurs de culture populaire à l’occasion duquel ces derniers ont la chance de voir un large éventail de produits issus de l’univers du divertissement : science-fiction, horreur, anime, jeux vidéo sous toutes leurs formes et, bien sûr, bandes dessinées et comic books. On y trouve une grande diversité d’exposants, notamment des entreprises qui y présentent leurs marchandises, ainsi que des véhicules ou d’autres éléments marquants de films ou de séries télévisées. Il s’agit d’une occasion unique pour les collectionneurs de trouver le tee-shirt, le comic book, le jouet, la figurine, le DVD ou Blu-ray ou la réplique dont ils rêvent.

On encourage les visiteurs (sans les obliger, toutefois) à se costumer sous les traits de leur icône de la culture populaire préférée (cinéma, télé, jeu vidéo ou comic book, par exemple). Le défilé de costumes atteint son apogée lors de la mascarade, grand concours de costumes présidé par des juges venus des quatre coins du monde.

Le Comiccon de Québec a vu le jour en 2014. Cet événement en plein essor a attiré plus de 22 000 visiteurs à sa dernière édition. Il prend la forme d’un salon consacré à la culture populaire, laquelle englobe notamment les comic books, les bandes dessinées, la science-fiction, l’horreur, le manga, l’anime, les jouets, le cinéma, les jeux vidéo et l’univers du divertissement. L’événement se caractérise par une vaste salle d’exposition, une allée des artistes, des stands de détaillant, des stands interactifs, des conférences spéciales, des projections de film, des séances de photo et de signature d’autographes avec les vedettes, un concours de costumes et une mascarade. Il attire un public de tous les âges partageant un intérêt commun : l’univers de la culture populaire et tout ce qu’il englobe.

Une fin de semaine de jeux de rôle, de panels et de kiosques pour tous les âges et tous les genres !
